Prolix is a hard word for me to use, because, much like "banal," it sounds wrong no matter how I say it. The stress wants so badly to be on the first syllable. Anyway, I'm sorry if it seemed prolix to you, but I think the length was entirely appropriate given the gravity of the subject matter. This comment, on the other hand, is a bit verbose.
Oh no, I didn't mean "prolix" with any kind of unflattering connotation! I meant it more like "Syd is totally showing me up by writing articulate and well-documented monographs on Wonder Woman while I just post pictures of my star-spangled ass."
